Mid summer already?!?! Where is the time going? We hope you are having a wonderful summer break. We sure are! Lots of dreams fulfilled. A Walker Wedding June 4 kicked off our exciting summer with the wedding of Matt (our son and my partner) to his beautiful bride Shannon. We are so happy to have her in our family. Not only is she incredibly lovely in front of the camera, she's not too shabby behind one either. Also, a talented make up artist who makes our brides even more beautiful.   Many people asked how we managed pictures for the wedding. That was simple, we hired our good friends and talented wedding photographers Amber and John, of Shoop's Shutter Photography. We were thrilled with the results! It was great to just enjoy the day and know that they were going to capture all the special moments. Amber admits being a little intimidated shooting for us, but she knew that it was going to be amazing because of Matt and Shannon's attention to creative detail.  
Our New Studio is ready when you are! After many years of having retail locations on Greenback Lane and our studio in downtown Sacramento we made the tough decision to close both locations and move forward on building the studio we have always dreamed of. It is located on our acre in Orangevale. The studio features a spacious shooting room, a comfy consult and viewing lobby, and last but not least, a spacious dressing room. We're still putting on the finishing touches but we are already enjoying the space, the natural light from our french doors, and the commute. Or the lack of one......... Having the studio on our property gives us the wonderful ability to combine an indoor and outdoor session easily and at no extra charge. If you have never visited our outdoor location, you are in for a treat. It features a park like area with lots of shade and lawn, a vintage 51 Ford truck, tire swing, a fishing hole, and a flower garden. Best of all it is private, no use fees, no strangers wandering around in the background, no unexpected surprises to interrupt the success of a great portrait session. The large spaces both inside and out give us plenty of room to handle really large family portraits. The privacy and quiet surroundings are perfect for our baby sessions. Of course we are always happy to go on location to wherever the job takes us.
