In case you missed the article in Sierra Style Magazine, February Issue.  Here is a great shot of Matt, Karen, Kerri and me with  our big fat check donation to the Play for Playground.  

I  talked with Terry Carol and learned there is still a long way to go in terms of fundraising to build the playground.   It seems that the playground surface is very expensive, it is a rubberized material for soft landings.

So, you can look forward to some more creative and fun ways to this year to raising money for this worthy cause!

Did you vote for us in the KCRA Channel 3 Best of the Best awards yet?  There is still plenty of time.  I have to got to say I am truly humbled by the praise that is being lavished on us about our studio.  

To us, being prompt, creative, friendly and all is just the way a person should do business. It is the way I expect to be treated when I spend my hard earned dollars.

True Love

On Valentine's Day 2009, Matt and I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Susan and Don Greenwood.  Their story is what dreams are made of.

Both Susan and Don are in their 50's. Susan had never been married and Don, has been single many years. To find love in the middle of your life is wonderful but read on!

A few years ago, Susan had a stroke, it has been a long uphill battle to recover from it. Don had a series of strokes last year.  They met in a home while rehabilitating.  The rest is history.

Susan walked down the aisle  and Don was there standing and waiting for her.

Each has lost the use of one side of their body, one left the other right.  Together they make a whole.  By helping each other, they are able to live on their own and create a life together.

I recall hearing the news story and thinking to myself, I hope they have a great photographer.  As luck would have it, we were referred to them by one of our past brides who is also a close friend of Susan's. We cleared our day and made ourselves available for this wonderful occasion. There was no way we were going to pass it up!

Their love is an inspiration to all of us.
