Here is a wonderful oppurtunity to have some fantastic portraits of your child, help build a playground for disabled children, and enjoy having a portrait displayed at local children's clothing boutique Starlight Starbright in Folsom.

Sessions will be held on September 6 and 7, by appointment (call 916-989-3190) at the K. Walker studio on Greenback Lane.

Your child must wear a white shirt. The portraits will be composed as head shots. Babies to pre-teen are welcome. We are looking for lots of expressions so its ok if your baby or child is sad, mad or fusssy.

Meet the Crowley Family

I so enjoyed photographing this wonderful family! We worked at our outdoor studio in Orangevale.

In case you didn't know ,we have an indoor studio on Greenback Lane and then just about a block away, we have an acre of private beautiful park like property (also our family home). We can accomadate any size of family.

There are lots of areas to use for all types of portraits, a 51 Ford Vintage Truck, a fishing hole, a flower garden, fountain, and swings, both a tire and a precious little tire swing.

The Crowley children loved the tire swing and the fishin' hole.

Out and About!

Tuesday July 12, I had the pleasure of accompanying a long time friend, Tiffany Garvin to the KYMX 96 radio station here in Sacramento. Tiffany, Mrs. Coastal States is on a fund raising mission for Women In Need (WIN). WIN is a private non profit foundation that specializes in rehabilitating women who are survivors of domestic violence by providing them counseling services, empowerment classes, job interview skills and education on the effects of abuse. Win believes that by healing the women, you heal the family, and that the final destination of healing is love and passion of life purpose.

On July 31, 2008 she is holding a fund raiser for this wonderful organization. The purpose of the fund raiser is threefold: to raiser awareness that millions of women suffer from abuse each year, to spread the word about the WIN Foundation and the many benefits coming to our area, and to raise necessary funds in order to continue this invaluable service for women here and around the word. About 200 guests including, local and state government officials, community business members and general supporters of this significant cause.

Tiffany was interviewed by Jennifer Steele, also a long time friend. During our chat before she went on the air, we learned what a small world it is, we discovered that we had all met each other many years ago at a Miss Fair Oaks Pageant, Tiffany and Jennifer were competing and I was the photographer.

The interview will air this Sunday morning on KYMX at 6:30 A.M. early yes.......but if you are up and you want to hear more about WIN, please tune in.

The event starts at 6:00 and will be held at the Arden Hills Country Club. The dress is cocktail attire. Jennifer Steele from KYMX 96 will be the MC, K. Walker Photography will be there taking fabulous portraits.

Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego California

K. Walker Photography was selected to receive an invitation to attend Burrell Colour Imagings 2008 Presidential Circle Reunion, March 9th through March 12, 2008, at the historic Del Coronado Hotel on Coronado Island near San Diego California. The presidential circle is comprised of the nation's most elite professional portrait, wedding, and event photographers, of which only a select number of studios nationwide are included as members. The event was a great success!

This unique event was hosted by Don Burrell of Burrell Colour Imaging, located in Crown Point Indiana. Burrell Labs are known as a leader in quality that's why we have been their dedicated customer for over a decade. They put as much tender loving care into your portrait as we do when we are creating it for you.

eakers and seminars were amazing and will help keep Matt and I on the cutting edge of creativity and imagination.

We were treated to a yacht dinner cruise and got some really shots of San Diego from the ship.

We all believe our little babies are really angels! Now we can turn your baby into one digitally.

Angel and fairy wings have been popular props for babies and small children since I first opened my studio. I found it was always up to the child whether they would allow us to strap the wings on. I am pretty sure they viewed them as a big bird we were attempting to tie on their backs.

No problems with that now. Anyone can be a fairy or an angel!

We are so excited, this weekend, Matt and I are shooting a wedding at the Grand Island Mansion. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding. I had the privilege of staying there with group of photographers a few years ago. Every room is decorated right down to the last detail. It's a great place for a romantic getaway or a Sunday Brunch.
